This was my first purchase of Rosle products and now I'm addicted to all their utensils. I bought the ice cream scoop because of a favorable review in America's Test Kitchen. Three great things about it: 1) It scoops ice cream without gouging into your hand, 2) it's beautiful, and 3) if you're limited on space, it doesn't take up much. I know this last one sounds odd, but take a look at your utensil drawer. If you have more than a few they're probably all different sizes/shapes and are all over the place. My drawer of utensils is almost entirely made up of Rosle products, and it is really tidy because the handles are all the diameter. No more honkin' big ugly black plastic handles. Invest if you can. You won't regret it.
Description of Rösle 12741 Ice Cream Scoop
The Rosle Ice Cream Scoop quickly and easily forms ice cream, sherbet, or sorbet into attractive round shapes with the help of its smooth, finely formed bowl. Made of durable 18/10 stainless steel, the scoop will not bend even when used on the hardest ice cream. In addition, the scoop has no moving parts to break or malfunction and will provide years of excellent service. The scoop measures 8.1 inches long and is dishwasher safe.One of Rösle's superb kitchen tools, this 8-inch ice-cream scoop has fine edges on its 2-1/4-inch-long head to cleanly cut into the hardest ice cream or sherbet and create uniformly shaped scoops in one motion. Like all Rösle tools, utensils, and Open Kitchen storage components, this scoop is made of 18/10 stainless steel for rustproof beauty and long-lasting durability. The round handle has a satin finish to conceal finger marks. The handle is sealed against water and has a hanging ring so the scoop can be conveniently stored on a hook in the Open Kitchen system of Rösle basic rails and Gridwalls or hung on any hook or peg.
